 BOB SHANNON M.D.

SPORTING CLAY INSTRUCTOR

Bob has been an instructor in clays shooting and shooting flying since 1999. Bob's certification is through the National Sporting Clays Association. His interest is in providing instruction to make you a better shot in all clays and hunting venues. Instruction includes best practice / training approaches for more permanent and long term skills and results. Bob wants you to be comfortable and confident with all styles and techniques in shotgun shooting. During instruction, safety, proper gun fit and equipment needs are addressed as well as care of and service of your equipment. Much of the subconscious skill needed in the shotgun shooting sports is used every day in other formats. Understanding this relationship is important. Trusting in your subconscious to perform in shooting is a skill to be developed and honed. Instruction in shotgun shooting sports should also be fun for both the casual shooter and competitor. Bob is an active participant in OSP Shooting School Coaching Hour monthly as well as a presenter on specific topics for that Coaching Hour. Previously Bob was involved in developing two sporting clays courses in NM. Subsequently, Bob was manager, including target setter responsibility, for the sporting clays course for the Del Norte Gun Club outside of Albuquerque, NM for two years.
